About me

A woman with short hair and glasses, wearing a floral blouse, smiling while holding a mug, sitting on a green couch with leafy plants and a lamp in the background.

I am Miranda, a Melbourne-based photographer with over a decade of experience documenting people and important moments.

This work is personal.

When my dad passed away, much of that time is a blur.

I remember fragments - holding my mum’s hand, trying to speak and not quite being able to, people coming and going.

What I do have are a few photographs. Unplanned, imperfect, but real.

They have become some of the most important images I own.

Because in those moments, you are not thinking about documenting anything.

You are just getting through.

And it’s only afterwards that you realise how much you didn’t fully take in.

When I’m there, I keep things simple.

I don’t direct or stage anything.
I don’t interrupt what is already happening.

I stay in the background, paying attention to the small things - how people support each other and the quiet moments in between.

I bring a calm, steady presence and an understanding of when to step in and when to step back. Every family and every situation is different.

If this feels like something that might matter for your family, you are welcome to get in touch.

Outside of photography, life is full and busy with my husband, three daughters and dog.

I find comfort in simple things - being outdoors, a cup of tea, time with family and friends.
